Jesolo has developed within the space of ten years from the end of the last world war and has become an internationally popular seaside resort, an event with few precedents.

In 1952 it was officially recognized as a holiday and touristic resort. Ten years later 323 hotels, boarding houses, and inns could be counted in Jesolo. In 1963 it grew of further 31 units; a really amazing growth, an outstanding achievement.

In 1958 a famous reporter, Dino Villani, said that “Jesolo was not so popular only because of its closeness to Venice.

The number of guests in Jesolo has grown not because Venice offers too expensive service and facilities but because the new touristic trend in oriented to lovely and cheap places where people can spend a plesant holiday”.

This is to say an everybody’s place. This is what makes of Jesolo an atractive and popular place.

For this reason at the end of the 50’s Jesolo had already gained that popularity that makes it a dream destination which everybody can reach.
